“I am a firebird with the passion of a fierce lion, and my inner voice calls me to spread my wings and fly into the distance.

I feel trapped in conventions and rules, lockdown and chained to a place I don't love. I know I'm not alone in how I feel, but my soul keeps crying out for more.

Nevertheless, I feel connected to the people here and I know that I can't just turn my back on them. There is a deep connection that I cannot deny, it is love, which is worth fighting for but I also know that I cannot give up my life, my self, my soul.

But here I am, bonded to this place, trapped in a life that doesn't correspond to my nature. But I hold on to the hope that one day I will have the strength and courage to break out of this cage and live my passion, because I know that this is what I was born for.

The carpet was hand-knotted by Tibetans living in exile in Nepal and woven with the best, hand-spun highland wool and the finest natural silk from China. The natural silk shimmers depending on the light on the carpet and allows it to shine elegantly in over 24 different colors.

The exclusive unique piece consists of 130 hand-tied knots measuring 10 cm and requires around 270 working days.
