Plaid EVSARA TURTLES on silk - finest 100% twill weave cashmere - blanket with handmade silk border

This unique cashmere blanket is a one-off made from hand-woven, 100% Nepalese cashmere wool. (The fine undercoat of the cashmere goat living in the Himalayas was combed in the spring. Not shorn to comply with fair trade guidelines.) The weave structure is called twill weave and is therefore particularly fluffy and soft, which optimally accentuates the noble material.

The border is made of 100% handwoven twill silk. It was specially printed for this plaid in several work processes (10 frames) with a complex screen printing process.

The motif of the small turtles was hand-drawn by the artist STELLA ESVARA from different cultures. Behind each motif there is a story in which the artist incorporates her memories and the meaning of various symbols of power from united cultures.
